Cellar Conditions
We see many excellent cellars with poor inventory control and many large wine collections being stored poorly.
If your wine is being stored with the idea of keeping wine in good condition, you are well advised to develop a cellar with appropriate cellaring conditions or find commercial storage space, while maintaining a small stock of “drink now” wines at home.
To maintain accurate inventories you should use a Vinote Cellar and Vinote Tags.
Your investment in wines is at risk when they are being stored in conditions
- where the temperature fluctuates,
- where the temperature is above 15 degrees centigrade,
- where the wines are exposed to light
- where the wines are exposed to vibration.
Wines stored in inappropriate conditions will age considerably faster and more erratically than those properly stored. If your wines are suffering from one of these negative conditions, it is time to do something about it.
